Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, member of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, inspected several electric power and coal industrial establishments.

Making rounds of the Huichon Power Station No. 10 and the Sunchon Thermal Power Plant, he called for thoroughly keeping a balance between power production and its supply and consumption, increasing the efficiency of produced electricity without waste of electric power and dynamically conducting scientific research for increased power production.

At the Kaechon Coal Mine, the Kaechon Coal-mining Machine Factory and the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine, he acquainted himself with the repair and maintenance bases and underscored the need to ensure stable production accessories necessary for coal production by making the maximum and effective use of the present capability.

The field consultative meetings discussed the issues of increasing the production of electric power, improving the planning of coal production and supply on the principle of giving top priority to coal supply to thermal power stations and making the relevant units ensure smooth supply of equipment and materials.

Visiting the Munchon Valve Factory, he stressed the importance of active introduction of advanced technologies for the modernization of production process.
