Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave field guidance to the August 25 Fishery Station of the Korean People's Army and the newly-built Thongchon Fish Processing Station. He was accompanied by Jang Kum Chol, department director of the WPK Central Committee, Jo Yong Won, first vice-department director of the C.C., WPK, and Ri Jong Nam, Hyon Song Wol and Hong Yong Song, vice-department directors of the C.C., WPK.

He was accompanied by senior officials of the Central Committee of the WPK.

He first called at the August 25 Fishery Station always dear to him as the home of gold sea and "Tanphung" ship.

He said:

While acquainting myself with the work in the fishing sector of the People's Army, I heard a regrettable report that the construction of fish processing plant to be built in the fishery station has not progressed. So I have come to learn about the situation and take measures on the spot.

The manager of this fishery station is so enthusiastic that he always proposes doing many things to me. He is an official who cannot be found easily. His is the enthusiasm to help the Commander-in-Chief, to live up to the expectation of the people and to provide service personnel with rich diet. It is the most patriotic, faithful and correct enthusiasm. That's why I seem to feel more friendly toward him and the fishermen and employees of his station.

I heard that if equipment are put in the building of the fish processing plant, the fishery station will turn into the modernest one. Now that the Party has understood the situation, it will give a powerful backing. Never mind. The fishery station should continue to hold high the torch of radical development of fisheries. It must always become absolute supporter, resolute defender and thoroughgoing implementer of the fishery policy of the Party.

Suprene Leader Kim Jong Un looked round the new and old fish processing plants and freezing chambers.

He highly praised the officials and fishermen of the fishery station and their families for building a high treasure mountain of fish without fail this year, too.

In the room for education in revolutionary history, he looked back with deep emotion upon the course covered by the station holding high the banner of radical development of fisheries under the leadership of the Party over the past six years.

He highly estimated that those years were the years of growth in the material and technical foundations of the fishery station and in the spirit and ideology of the fishermen and their families, and the years of loyalty when they supported and defended the Party with ideology and faith, pure obligation and conscience, linking their hearts with the yard of the Party Central Committee all the time.

Comrade Kim Jong Un enjoyed a performance given by the art group of the August 25 Fishery Station.

Expressing thanks for having given deep impression through the performance perfect in ideological and artistic aspects, he kindly invited the performers to Pyongyang towards the end of the year.

That day Kim Jong Un inspected the newly-built Thongchon Fish Processing Station.

He expressed satisfaction over a lot of fish being transported to the freezing and processing plants via discharging equipment and conveyers.

Looking at the machinery and equipment lining up in the freezing and processing plants, he said he seems to see a sea of fish and sea of machines and learned in detail about the fish processing and handling and operation of the equipment at each process.

He was greatly satisfied to see that the commanding personnel of the People's Army and leading officials in the fishing sector have done another good and bold thing in order to implement the intention of the Party to send fresh fish to the service personnel, sharing his worries.

He underscored the need to operate the newly-built quick-freezing process according to the technical demand, establish a cultured way of managing equipment and operate them at full capacity so that the processing base built with much effort makes an actual contribution to the improvement of diet of the service personnel.

Comrade Kim Jong Un praised that the conception of building public service building and mess hall at the Thongchon Fish Processing Station for the maximum convenience of the fishermen fully conforms with the intention of the Party.
