A large vegetable greenhouse farm and modern tree nursery have been built and inaugurated in the Jungphyong area of Kyongsong County in the northern end of Korea.

The inaugural ceremony of the Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm and Tree Nursery was grandly held on December 3.

It was attended by Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and First Vice-Chairman of the State Affairs Commission and President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, and Pak Pong Ju, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, Vice-Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and Vice-Chairman of the Party Central Committee.

Also attending the ceremony were Pak Thae Dok, Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee of the WPK; Ri Hi Yong, Chairman of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Party; Sin Chol Ung, Chairman of the Rural Economy Committee of North Hamgyong Province; officials of the Party Central Committee, officials and employees of the Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm and Tree Nursery and officials and working people in the province including Kyongsong County.

Army General Pak Jong Chon, Chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, commanding personnel of the People's Army and soldier-builders were on hand.

Amid the playing of the welcome music, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un came out to the venue of the inaugural ceremony.

Comrade Pak Pong Ju delivered an inaugural address.

He said that a large vegetable greenhouse farm and modern tree nursery have been built in the northern part of the country to brilliantly decorate this historic year woven with amazing events, giving the people conviction of their strength and confidence in sure victory.

He noted that the wonderful construction of the large vegetable greenhouse farm, tree nursery, public buildings and dwelling houses in the Jungphyong area presented another prototype perfect in architectural beauty, practical utility and scientific level.

He called for working harder to build a prospering paradise of the people on this land at an early date with our strength, technology and resources under the guidance of the respected supreme leaderKim Jong Un.

He looked round the Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm together with senior officials of the Party and government and commanding personnel of the People's Army.

Chairman said that the quantitative index is important, but the nutritive index and taste are more important in the vegetable production and added that it is necessary for the farm to actively introduce advanced science and technology and realize optimization in the future.

Saying that we should set a high target and ideal, he presented tasks and ways to effect a revolutionary turn in greenhouse farming such as building vegetable greenhouse farms in all provinces, organizing emulation between them and making it a custom to judge the scientific farming.

Chairman Kim Jong Un gave thanks in the name of the Central Military Commission of the WPK to the soldier-builders who have demonstrated the might of the people's army all over the world through the construction of the gigantic Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm.
