Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a reply message to Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic, on April 24.

The message expressed deep thanks to the Syrian president for sending his warm congratulations on the occasion of the 107th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

It wished the Syrian government and people bigger success in the struggle for safeguarding the sovereignty of the country and achieving territorial integrity under the guidance of the president, expressing the belief that the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would grow stronger.
