Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, member of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, inspected several agricultural units in South Hwanghae Province.

While going round the single-stage water pumping station of the West Sea Barrage-Sinchon-Kangryong, Ongjin Waterway and the township co-op farm and the Sogok Co-op Farm in Unryul County, he stressed the need to put the water control on a scientific basis, build more profitable underground water facilities like drop well and secure water source in a far-sighted way. He also emphasized putting effort on developing natural energy to suit the topographical characteristics.

The field consultative meetings discussed the practical measures to fully supply electricity needed for agricultural production and the issues to ensure the supply of equipment and materials in a planned way.

Earlier, he went round the Sunchon Co-op Farm in Hwangju County, North Hwanghae Province to learn about the supply of irrigation water.
