Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, member of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, learned about the agricultural work in South and North Hwanghae Provinces and Nampho City.

Visiting the Unhye Co-op Farm in Unchon County, he stressed the need to push ahead with the work to prevent the drought damage of crops including the issues of creating many wells, tube-wells and water holes in every work-team and sub-workteam and securing the source of water by building auxiliary dams at every valley of mountains.

While learning about the water control of Lake Thaesong, he stressed the need to establish the system for supplying water to farms of Nampho City on the basis of science and economize water, and took practical measures arising in preventing damage of crops by salt in areas contiguous to the sea including the Porim Co-op Farm of Onchon County.

He also visited the Wonphyong Co-op Farm in Unryl County and the Sokjong Co-op Farm in Hwangju County.
