Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, inspected the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex.

He looked round the site where a large oxygen separator is being fixed after learning about the production at the furnace and heavy rail workshops of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex.

The field consultative meeting stressed the importance of the mission under the charge of the complex in the ongoing offensive for making a breakthrough head-on, and discussed measures for finishing the installation of the large oxygen separator and the production of rail for tramcar at an early date and further cementing the material and technical foundations for putting the production on normal track.

At the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, he learnt in detail about fertilizer production for the manuring year while going round various production processes and called upon officials to thoroughly implement the Party's intention to send more fertilizer to the agricultural field by pushing ahead with the work for increasing its production capacity.
