Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, inspected Chongchongang-Phyongnam irrigation waterway project site.

Inspecting the construction site of dam of Chongchongang-Phyongnam irrigation waterway, the site of siphon-laying project in Namchon River and project site of Yonphung waterway tunnels No. 1 and 2, he learned in detail about the progress and about the issues arising in finishing the construction in time.

He discussed measures for qualitatively finishing the construction in the earliest possible time including providing equipment, labor and materials and further enhancing the work efficiency.
