Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a message of sympathy to Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and President of the People's Republic of China, on March 21.

The message reads.

I, at the sad news that an airliner accident occurred in your country, claiming many lives, express deep sympathy to you, the Chinese party, government and people and the bereaved families.

I sincerely hope that the Chinese people will eradicate the aftereffects of the damage as soon as possible under the leadership of the Communist Party of China with you at its core and the bereaved families overcome the sorrow and lead a stable life.
