The 9th Congress of the Korean Children's Union (KCU) took place in Pyongyang from December 26 to 27.

The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un sent a letter "March Towards the Future of a Powerful Country under the Unfurled Flag of the Korean Children's Union" to those attending the Ninth Congress of the Korean Children's Union on December 27.

An international seminar on the theme of "Leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un" took place in Tarragona of Spain on Nov. 12 under the sponsorship of the Korean Friendship Association.

Present at the seminar held on the occasion of the 22nd founding anniversary of the association were Chairman Alejandro Cao de Benos and other personages of the association and its branches in different countries and members of the DPRK International Solidarity Group.

The 5th Conference of Security Officers took place in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, on November 19-23.

Kim Yo Jong, Vice Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), released the following press statement on Nov. 24.

The DPRK strategic forces test-fired a new-type ICBM on Nov. 18 amid the strict implementation of the top-priority defence-building strategy of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government on steadily bolstering up the most powerful and absolute nuclear deterrence.

The test-fire was conducted under the intolerable condition that the reckless military confrontational moves of the U.S. and other hostile forces persistently driving the military and political situation in the Korean peninsula to the red line have gone beyond the limit and hypocritical and brigandish sophisms have been justified even in the UN arena to brand the right of a sovereign state to self-defence as provocation in every way.

Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, guided the test-fire on the spot.

A report of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army on its military operations corresponding to the Vigilant Storm, the U.S.-south Korea combined air drill, was issued.

On October 24 Alexander Mostov, Chairman of the Coordination Committee of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG) and Editor-in-Chief of "Bulgeunbyeol TV", met with Denis Miroshnichenko, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR).

During the conversation, Comrade Mostov noted that the DPRK recognized both the independence of the LPR and its entry into Russia, and asked how the latter event would affect the development of international relations.

In turn, Mr. Miroshnichenko assured his interlocutor that all plans and agreements reached between the relevant representatives of the LPR and the DPRK remain in force. He especially emphasized the importance of the diplomatic recognition of the LPR by Korea and once again expressed gratitude to the government of the Republic and the Solidarity Group for their contribution to the implementation of international justice.

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China opened at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on October 16.

On October 12, a solemn reception hosted by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the DPRK on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries was held at the Taedongan Diplomatic Club in Pyongyang.
