Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Wreath to Cemetery of Fallen Soldiers of CPV

Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), sent a wreath to the Cemetery of the Fallen Soldiers of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) in Hoechang County, South Phyongan Province, on the occasion of the anniversary of the CPV's entry into the Korean front.

The historic significance of the CPV's entry into the Korean front which clearly manifested the militant friendship and great unity between the peoples of the two countries remains unchanged as it is even after the lapse of over 70 years, and it is immortal in the annals of bilateral friendship.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:

The peoples and armies of the DPRK and China won a great victory in the war by their united strength and thus safeguarded the security of the two countries and wrote a brilliant page in the history of the DPRK-China friendship at the cost of their blood and lives.

The Korean people will never forget the blood shed by the officers and men of the Chinese People's Volunteers and the feats performed by them in the same trench against the imperialist aggression in support of the Korean revolution. The DPRK-China friendship based on blood ties will remain unchanged and grow stronger generation after generation, he said and added that he sends a wreath to the cemetery, sincerely hoping that the noble soul of the fallen soldiers of the Chinese People's Volunteers will be immortal on the platform of honour and paying respects to them.

The wreath sent by Comrade Kim Jong Un on behalf of all the Korean people was politely laid before the Cemetery of the Fallen Soldiers of the Chinese People's Volunteers on Monday.

And wreathes sent by the Central Committee of the WPK and the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK were reverently placed.

 

 

Wreaths Laid before Friendship Tower

Wreaths were laid before the Friendship Tower on Monday, the 71st anniversary of the entry of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) into the Korean Front.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Kang Yun Sok, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA), Mun Song Hyok, Vice Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Army Lieutenant General Kim Chol Gun, Vice-Minister of National Defence, Pak Myong Ho, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, and other officials concerned.

The national anthems of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) were played.

Placed at the tower was a wreath in the joint name of the WPK Central Committee, the SPA Standing Committee of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

Also laid were wreaths in the names of the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of External Economic Relations and the Ministry of Culture and wreaths in the joint names of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and the DPRK-China Friendship Association, and the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK and the Pyongyang City People's Committee.

The participants walked round the tower after paying a silent tribute to the memory of the CPV martyrs who displayed noble internationalist fidelity and matchless self-sacrificing spirit in the sacred war against the imperialists' invasion under the banner of resisting America and aiding Korea, safeguarding the home and defending the motherland.

On the same day, wreaths were laid at the cemeteries and graves of the CPV martyrs in Hyongjesan District of Pyongyang City, Anju City and Hoechang County of South Phyongan Province, Onsong County of North Hamgyong Province and Kaesong City. 

 

 

Floral Basket Laid at Friendship Tower

Staff members of the Chinese embassy here laid a floral basket before the Friendship Tower on October 25 on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the entry of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) into the Korean front.

Present at the floral basket-laying ceremony were Li Jinjun, Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy.

The national anthems of the People's Republic of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea were played.

Placed at the tower was a floral basket in the name of the Chinese embassy.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the CPV martyrs who bravely fought by devoting their youth and lives to the Korean front.

Earlier, the Ambassador and his embassy members laid a floral basket and flowers at the cemetery of the CPV martyrs in Jangjin County, South Hamgyong Province.
