Despite the difficulties caused by the new type of Coronavirus pandemic, the International Solidarity Group with the DPRK successfully celebrated the Day of the Sun (Kim Il Sung's birthday).

[20.03] In connection with the spread of a new type of coronavirus, the head of our organization, Alexander Mostov, raised the issue of increasing security measures at the upcoming International Exhibition on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.

Comrade Mostov emphasized that in no case should the exhibition be canceled. In order to increase antiviral safety, he proposed limiting the number of visitors using personalized invitations to meet the requirements of the Moscow City Hall, as well as organizing an operational temperature check and distribution of medical masks.

The Group unanimously accepted the proposal.

Anna Bertova, responsible for political activism, and her deputy Sofia Zvereva, were appointed as responsible persons on the part of the Preparatory Committee on the occasion of important dates.

[25.03] On March 25, the 1st International Online Conference on the occasion of the Day of the Sun held on the basis of the DPRK International Solidarity Group.

The heads of our organization in different countries and regions were invited as participants.

[27.03] On March 27, at the International Online Conference on the occasion of the Day of the Sun, a Preparatory Committee for the celebration of the Day of the Sun was formed.

At the suggestion of the head of our organization, Anna Bertova, responsible for political activism, was unanimously elected chairman of the Preparatory Committee.

The Preparatory Committee determined the time period from April 8 to April 22 as the celebration period.

[30.03] In connection with the decree of the mayor of Moscow on “Introducing an increased readiness regime due to the threat of the spread of a new coronavirus infection 2019-nCoV,” Anna Bertova, chairman of the Preparatory Committee, announced the postponement of the International Exhibition on the occasion of the Day of the Sun for an indefinite period.

[12.04] On April 12, a meeting of the Coordination Committee of the DPRK ISG was held on the occasion of the birthday of the Great Leader Kim Il Sung.

Chairman of the Coordination Committee Alexander Mostov led the meeting. All members of the Committee took part in it.

Also, a member of the ideological commission of St. Petersburg Group of Young Communist League of the Russian Federation Nikita Dobrov was invited to the meeting.

Comrade Mostov read the news of the third session of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK of the 14th convocation, after which consideration of issues on the agenda began.

Members of the organization discussed the results of the 1st International Online Conference on the occasion of the Day of the Sun and again emphasized the unfading merits of the Great Leader Kim Il Sung in the construction of socialism. Various changes to the celebration plans caused by the COVID-19 pandemic were discussed.

Anna Bertova Bertova was appointed permanent representative of our organization in the Russian Federation.

Then there was a screening of the documentary film "DPRK Victorious on the Strength of Single-Hearted Unity".

[19.04] LYCL RF and the DPRK ISG held a Joint Scientific and Theoretical Conference on-line, dedicated to the Day of the Sun - the Birthday of the Eternal President Kim Il Sung.
