DPRK Premier Inspects Several Sectors of National Economy

Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected several sectors of the national economy.

During his visits to fishery stations, cooperative farms, the construction site for a local industrial establishment and others in South Hamgyong and Kangwon provinces, the premier gave pep talks to the working people who are displaying the fighting traits of self-reliance and fortitude in their efforts for carrying out the policy tasks for this year set forth at the Party Congress and the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee.

After learning about the situation of the Sinpho, Hongwon, Soho, Songdowon and Thongchon fishery stations, he chaired consultative meetings to discuss and take measures for preparing the fishing boats and equipment properly and dynamically conducting fishing operations to increase the haul per boat, and for improving the supply service for the fishermen.

At several cooperative farms in Sinpho City and Hongwon, Hamju, Jongphyong, Kumya and Kowon counties, he underscored the need to proactively introduce the scientific farming method suited to the regional characteristics and push forward with the work for generalizing the experience of the leading units in a methodological way.

After acquainting himself with the operation of the livestock farming base in the Sepho area, he referred to the need to breed more livestock by surely holding fast to the four key factors in the development of livestock farming and the need to ensure the normal production and supply of milk products of high nutritive value by developing the milk processing technology.

Inspecting Kimhwa County where a dynamic struggle is underway to implement the Party's line for strengthening cities and counties and build an iconic local industrial establishment, Comrade Kim Tok Hun took measures to tackle the issues arising in ensuring high quality and speed in construction of structures and full supply of equipment needed for their operation.

Meanwhile, he also learned about the milk supply to nurseries and kindergartens during his inspection and discussed the ways to improve it.

 

 

Going round the Sunchon Pharmaceutical Factory, Comrade Kim Tok Hun called for powerfully propelling the work for boosting production with locally available raw and other materials and modernizing the production lines by proactively tapping the sci-tech potentiality in order to increase the production of medicines urgently needed for the people's health, medical treatment and disease prevention.

At the Pyongyang Mechanical Pencil Factory, Mangyongdae Disabled Soldiers' Fountain Pen Factory and Pyongyang Disabled Soldiers' Ball Pen Factory, he took measures to help the factories meet the public demand by producing more quality pens of different kinds favored by students and people.

The field consultative meetings discussed the issues of conducting business and management activities in a feasible way under the scientific calculation, increasing the quantity and quality of products with priority given to the production of necessities and making sure that relevant units supply raw and other materials in time.

After acquainting himself with the farming in Suan, Singye, Sohung and Hwangju counties in North Hwanghae Province, the premier urged officials to take positive measures to prevent fierce heat damage to crops and arouse the enthusiasm of farmers by enforcing in a methodological way the field-responsibility-system within the framework of the sub-work team management system.

Visiting various units in the sector of food administration, nurseries and kindergartens, he urged officials to correctly implement our Party's policies for the people and children with the spirit of devotedly serving the people.

Meanwhile, he discussed and took measures to resolve the comprehensive issues arising in normalizing the production at the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory.
