Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, inspected the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex.

Looking round various production processes of the complex, Choe stressed that officials should concentrate all efforts on scientifically and technically perfecting the Juche-based iron-making process and expanding the production capacity, bearing in mind that great achievements in the metal industry will lead to rapid progress in industrial and agricultural production and capital construction.

Meanwhile, he visited the Sariwon Chicken Farm where he underscored the need to conduct the hygienic and anti-epidemic work in a responsible manner, establish a scientific system for producing breed chicken and take thorough measures to secure feed, so as to radically increase the production of meat and eggs.
