On October 12th, a joint rally of the army and the people was held on the occasion of the beginning of the “80 days labor struggle” campaign on Kim Il Sung square in Pyongyang. The unyielding determination of the Korean people to welcome the eighth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea is admired by the progressive people of the world.

We are deeply encouraged by the spirit of struggle of the Korean people, who are striving to turn the damages of recent disasters into a victorious march forward as swiftly as possible.

Undoubtedly, the outcome of the entire general offensive depends on the current “80 days labor struggle” campaign, which is taking place against the background of very unfavorable conditions. Nevertheless, we sincerely believe that even such a tense situation cannot shake the inevitability of the victory of the Korean revolution, as well as the unanimity and cohesion of the party, army and people.

To eliminate the consequences of the recent floods with a victorious push, to defend the party congress at the cost of one's life - such is the spirit of today.
