A meeting was held in Budapest on October 29 to discuss the situation on the Korean Peninsula and the impact of this meeting on the overall world situation.
Some comrades could only attend the meeting remotely via the Internet because the meeting was held on a weekday evening, right after work. Despite this, the discussions were heated and long, and the conclusions were sensible.
A new book published by the Hungarian Workers' Party was also discussed at the meeting. This book is a thematic collection of speeches by Comrade Kim Jong Un on the topic of "Independence, Nation, People, Socialism." The book is unique in Hungary, since nothing has been published in this country since the 1950s that was written in the DPRK. It is incredibly popular, and the party is already preparing a second edition.
Peter Gal, Head of the Hungarian Regional Committee of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG), made a report on the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
The participants of the meeting also familiarized themselves with the official statement of the DPRK MFA, which appeared in connection with the situation.
During the discussions, the following conclusions were reached:
- The news that the DPRK is sending a contingent to Russia is clearly a simple provocation by Western news agencies in order to further aggravate the tense situation on the peninsula. Sending such a contingent would require targeted training of personnel and officers in terms of synchronizing command, combat structures and orders. Serious work is also required on the unification and synchronization of equipment and technology so that the troops can work together on the battlefield. This requires months, or better yet, years of joint work and training. The presence of military experts and analysts in the operational zone is natural and necessary, but this does not mean taking part in military action.
- The provocations of the Republic of Korea with propaganda leaflets from a drone differ only in the means of delivery. This is a usual continuation of the same usual provocations that have been going on for many years. The DPRK responded to this with dignity, and this will not mean the beginning of military actions on the territory of the peninsula in the future.
- Moving slightly away from the specific situation, the participants of the meeting, after discussing the political and economic system of the DPRK, agreed that at the current moment of human development, this system, as well as the system of the PRC, and the path that the Russian Federation is taking, are the most progressive and effective. The near future of humanity will most likely be marked by the construction of exactly such economic and political systems in all countries of the world.
