On the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the death of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, activists of the executive committees of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG) in Russia, Belarus and the European Union held commemorative events.

Alexander Mostov, Chairman of the Coordination Committee of the DPRK ISG, sent a message to Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the DPRK.

On behalf of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG) and myself personally, I express my deepest condolences on the 12th anniversary of the death of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il.

The Coordination Committeeof the DPRK ISG, as well as all our regional and local organizations, are currently holding mourning events on the eve of the mournful day. The memory of the great Comrade Kim Jong Il, an outstanding patriot-internationalist who defended the Korean nation and the sacred socialist system during the most difficult trials, will forever be passed on by activists of our organization from generation to generation.

On November 30, the Friendship Club with the DPRK under our organization at the University of World Civilizations held a funeral meeting and a round table “The legacy of the leader of the DPRK Kim Jong Il in the memory of the Russian and Korean peoples.” The event was attended by senior officials of the DPRK ISG, teachers and students of the UMC.

Alexander Vorontsov, Head of the Department of Korea and Mongolia at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Society for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK as part of our organization, gave a big lecture. He spoke in detail about the life path of the great Comrade Kim Jong Il, about his contribution to state building and resolving the issue of succession.

On December 2, senior officials of the European Executive Committee visited the DPRK Embassy in Berlin to honor the memory of the great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il.

Johannes Wittmund, Head of the European Executive Committee, handed the employee the text of a statement by Chairman Mostow, praising the latest developments in the field of space technology. Another activist gave a speech in memory of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il. The embassy official was then informed about the latest activities of the DPRK ISG.

On December 14, a memorial meeting of the government, political parties and organizations of Russia was held in Moscow.

Alexander Mostov, Leader of our organization, took part in the meeting. He was accompanied by relevant members of the Scientific Committee, as well as Solidarity Group activists from Russia and Hungary.

Alexander Vorontsov, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Society for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, as part of our organization, delivered a memorial speech.

On December 16, 2023, a memorial meeting of the Belarusian Executive Committee was held on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the untimely death of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il.

The meeting was opened by Ignat Koroban, 1st Secretary of the Belarusian Executive Committee, with a memorable report, in which he noted the outstanding role of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il in the education and development of the people of Korea, both politically and socialistically.

On December 17, activists of the Russian-Korean Friendship Club, led by Kim Yong Ju, Chairman of the Club at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry and Advisor to the Coordination Committee of the DPRK ISG, visited the DPRK Embassy.

The students were also presented with souvenirs - books with the biography of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un describing the Juche ideas.

On December 16 and 17, the central state media of the DPRK reported that the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG) sent a basket of flowers to the Mansudae Hill.
