On February 12, a solemn opening ceremony of the primary cell of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG) in the form of the Russian-Korean Friendship Club took place on the basis of the Sergiev Posad Socio-Economic College, dedicated to the 82nd anniversary of the birth of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il.

The Banner of International Solidarity is hung in the assembly hall.

Alexander Mostov, Chairman of the Coordination Committee of the DPRK ISG, personally attended the ceremony. This event was organized by Georgy Dmitriev, Deputy Director of the Socio-Economic College and Head of the Russian-Korean Friendship Club.

At the beginning of the concert part, student Kirill Volkov performed the song “My Russia,” and presenters Alisa Dozhdikova and Varvara Ishtryakova greeted the students and guests of the event.

Comrade Dmitriev took the floor. He spoke about the glorious life of Kim Jong Il, Eternal Chairman of the National Defence Commission, and invited everyone to learn more about the history of Korea within the framework of the Club’s activities, and also invited caring students to help organize assistance for the "special military operation".

Comrade Mostov warmly greeted all participants and expressed hope for the fruitful work of the Club. He spoke in detail about the repeated visits of the great Comrade Kim Jong Il to the Russian Federation and especially emphasized the importance of his contribution to the restoration of Russian-Korean relations in a difficult historical period. The speech emphasized that thanks to the special role of the leader, Korea was able to overcome the most difficult obstacles of the “March of the Suffering” and achieve the status of a powerful space and nuclear power.

The student activists of the Club prepared several issues: Vadim Averin gave a report on the history of Korea, and Arman Ksyupov spoke about the lessons of the Korean War.

The speeches were summed up by activist Vladislav Noskov, who held an interactive part with the guests of the event dedicated to debunking myths about North Korea.

In conclusion, the participants asked a lot of questions to the respected Chairman Mostov about his visit to the DPRK and work within the Solidarity Group.
