On December 16, 2023, a commemorative meeting of the Belarusian Executive Committee of the DPRK International Solidarity Group (DPRK ISG) was held on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the untimely death of Kim Jong Il, Great Leader of the DPRK.

The meeting was opened by Ignat Koroban, 1st Secretary of the Belarusian Executive Committee, with a memorable report in which he noted the outstanding role of Kim Jong Il in the education and development of the people of Korea, both politically and socialist.

Thanks to this and many other merits of Kim Jong Il, Korean-style socialism survived the turbulent and difficult years of the 90s of the twentieth century:

And how literate should the Korean people be in order to understand what is happening and remain faithful to socialist ideals in the era of great collapse.

And it is in ensuring this literacy of the people, in ensuring their loyalty to socialism, that the main merit of the Great Leader Kim Jong Il lies.

And, of course, such loyalty can only be ensured by personal example, personal work for the good of the Motherland, for the good of the people. Kim Jong Il constantly set such an example, thanks to which he was the kind of Leader whom I would like to follow even now.

Next, Philip Kolosov, 2nd Secretary of the Belarusian Executive Committee, took the floor. He noted that continuity in the leadership of the DPRK, when Kim Il Sung prepared Kim Jong Il to govern the Party and the state, thereby creating a reliable basis for strengthening the cause of socialist revolution and construction.
