— The 8th Organizational Conference of the DPRK ISG opened —

On December 16, an event dedicated to the memory of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il was held at the DPRK Embassy in the Russian Federation. The event was organized by the Russian Society for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK as part of the International Solidarity Group.

It was attended by employees of the DPRK Embassy, ​​representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Coordination Committee of the DPRK ISG, the International Union of Korean Public Associations, the Council of Veterans of the Korean War, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Young Communist League of the Russian Federation and other state and public organizations.

The participants of the meeting laid flowers at the work of art depicting the great leaders of the Korean people, after which they made speeches about the life, work and merits of Comrade Kim Jong Il.

On our side, comrades Alexander Mostov (Chairman of the C. C. of the DPRK ISG), Viktor Petrov (Deputy Chairman of the C. C. of the DPRK ISG and Director of the 1st Department of People's Diplomacy, Chairman of the Russian Society for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK), Sergei Baburin (Chairman of the Board of the Soviet Peace Fund, Advisor to the C. C. of the DPRK ISG on International Relations), Shin Andrei (Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Korean War, Advisor to the C. C. of the DPRK ISG on Work with Ethnic Koreans and Veterans' Organizations) participated. Also present were candidates for membership in the Coordination Committee, senior staff of the center and primary cells of the organization.

Special places were occupied by honored activists of our Russian organization, who had the honor of personally talking with the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il during his lifetime.

Comrade Baburin made an opening speech.

Comrade Sin Hong Chol, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the DPRK to the Russian Federation, expressed gratitude to our organization, which is tirelessly making efforts to perpetuate the immortal revolutionary merits of the great Comrade Kim Jong Il.

He spoke about the history of the revolutionary life of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il and his enormous contribution to the development of Russian-Korean relations, which have now been inherited by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and brought to a historically new level by him with the signing of the "Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea".

Then Comrade Mostov treated the exemplary young activists to dinner at the Koryo restaurant.
