On November 23, on behalf of the Coordination Committee of the DPRK International Solidarity Group, Press Secretary of the Russian Executive Committee made a press statement in connection with the successful launch of the "Malligyong-1" reconnaissance satellite.

The news was greeted with warm approval that on November 21, 112 Juche (2023) at 22 hours 42 minutes and 28 seconds, the newest reconnaissance satellite "Malligyong-1" was launched at the Sohae Satellite Launching Ground in Cholsan County, North Phyongan Province.
The launch of the "Malligyong-1" reconnaissance satellite using a new type of launch vehicle, "Chollima-1", is an important space achievement that will be vividly inscribed in the history of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's leadership along with the successful launches of the "Gwangmyeonsong-3" and "Gwangmyongsong-4". The current success achieved in the creation and improvement of the "Chollima-1" launch vehicle is an indicator of the scientific and technical potential of the state.
As a sovereign country, Korea fully exercises its legal right to self-defense: it would be absurd to expect that the aggressive military games of the United States and South Korea, which have been taking place on the doorstep of the DPRK for 45 years, will remain without attention and a proportionate response. For security purposes, the DPRK must monitor in real time the movements of unfriendly forces in the area of the Korean Peninsula. The launched observation satellite "Manrigon-1" is a natural response to the long-term aggressive policy of the United States and its satellites against the Republic.
As for the provocative machinations of conservative elements of the so-called “Republic of Korea”, which decided to break the inter-Korean military agreement of September 19 under the pretext of responding to the launch of a reconnaissance satellite, such a pathetic excuse does not stand up to criticism. Fully supporting today's statement by the DPRK Ministry of Defense, we urge the pack of South Korean gangsters to think twice: is it worth staying on the wrong path of confrontation with the Republic, further confrontation with which can only bring painful death?
The executive committees of our organization in the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, the European Union, Tajikistan and Belarus fully support the aspirations of the DPRK in building a powerful socialist power, the guarantor of whose sovereignty is nuclear weapons!
