— Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the DPRK to Russia Made a Political Speech —
On September 19, a solemn event dedicated to the anniversary of the visit of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il to the Russian Far East was held at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The event was organized by the Russian-Korean Friendship Club of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and was held with the support of the Embassy of the DPRK. The Russian Executive Committee of the DPRK International Solidarity Group was responsible for inviting the media.
The Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Korean diplomats, Russian politicians, public figures, Korean scholars, representatives of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Komsomol of the Russian Federation and the Young Guard of United Russia, as well as senior officials of the DPRK ISG took part.
Sin Hong Chol, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the DPRK to Russia, made a political speech to the participants of the meeting, in which he expressed unequivocal support for the goals of the Special Military Operation and strongly condemned the US aggression in Ukraine.

Dear Mr. Rector! Dear teachers and members of the Russian-Korean Friendship Club!
First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the members of the Russian-Korean Friendship Club for visiting our embassy on the occasion of significant dates and presenting a basket of flowers to the portrait of our leaders, as well as having a useful conversation. I am also grateful to Mr. Rector, teachers and members of the Russian-Korean Friendship Club for organizing this large and significant event and for warmly inviting me to this event.
We see that the friendly Russian people, bravely overcoming the difficulties and obstacles that stand in the way of carrying out a just cause for the protection of dignity, security and the right to development, are achieving great success, and we rejoice at these successes as our own.
Everyone knows that the current measures taken by Russia against the US and Western countries are an inevitable and forced choice to protect the security of the country and the lives of the population from the threat of NATO expansion to the east, overt military presence in the region and unprecedented political and economic pressure from the US and Western countries. And based on this position, our country officially recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.
Recently, literally on September 9 this year, we solemnly celebrated the 74th anniversary of the founding of the DPRK. Our Republic, which in the past lost its color on the world map, turning into a colony of another state, after declaring independence for more than 70 years, went only along the path of glory and victory, and today it demonstrates its might as a socialist, powerful state that serves the interests of the masses of the world.
Today, the respected Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, brilliantly glorifies the immortal merits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, Great Leaders of the Korean people, in the creation, development and strengthening of our Republic.
We are convinced that thanks to the skillful and experienced leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un, most prominent politician of our time, victory will certainly be ours.
Further development at a higher level of traditional friendship relations with Russia through the full implementation of the agreements reached during the historic Korean-Russian summit in April 2019 is the unchanged position of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the Republic. We are confident that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between our two countries will continue to develop and strengthen in accordance with the dictates of the new era and the aspirations of our peoples.
We hope that the members of the Russian-Korean Friendship Club will try to learn the Korean language better, learn more about Korea and thus become the best specialists in Korea in order to make their due contribution to the development of relations between our two countries.
Once again, thank you for organizing and inviting me to this event, I would like to wish the esteemed Mr. Rector and all those present at this place good health and success in their work.
