Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave field guidance to the construction site of the Yangdok County Hot Spring Resort.

He was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and First Vice-Chairman of the State Affairs Commission and President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, and other senior officials of the Party Central Committee and the State Affairs Commission.

Looking round several places of the construction site for a long time, Kim Jong Un expressed satisfaction over the formation of the peculiar resort which makes a good use of the natural and geographical characteristics as intended by the Party and delicately goes together with the surroundings. And he appreciated that the partitioning and layout are serviceable and all the buildings are flawless in architectural beauty as well.

He said a new field of cultural and emotional life has been created with the combination of a ski run and hot spring recreation and added with great pleasure: The Yangdok County Hot Spring Resort is a creation which has thoroughly applied the Party's building idea based on the people-first principle. Everything is for the people and reflects their demand. If the resort is completed, it will be a cultural recreation resort drawing many people.

We should reflect the proud features of the Korean-style socialist system in every creation, though it is not big. The people should keep the great pride and patriotism deeper in their hearts, seeing the prosperous and civilized country which is changing day by day. Let us do the finishing work in a qualitative and smart way and thus present the Yangdok County Hot Spring Resort completed on the highest level to the people, he earnestly said.

Comrade Kim Jong Un praised that he had assigned the major munitions factories the manufacturing of equipment including horizontal elevator and pulleying cableway to be installed along the ski run and they were made perfectly well.

He said it is necessary to make full preparations for operating the facilities for hot-spring recuperation and treatment and take thorough measures to supply sporting goods to the ski run so as to start operation from December this year and stressed the need time and again to finish the project qualitatively and make good preparations for services of the sector concerned so that the visitors cannot feel any inconveniences.

Looking at the full view of the construction site, he highly appreciated, saying; I have come here in four months, and I have found tremendous changes. The soldier-builders have finished a huge project like the formation of a city in the onrushing spirit. It was right of me to have assigned the project to the unit which is most militant in the People's Army. The unit does the construction work as well as construction units. It is a powerful unit.

The plan of the Party has become precisely practice thanks to the People's Army which accepts the plan and intention of the Party as the absolute truth and implements them always with the might of unconditionality and resolute implementation. I regard it as the greatest pleasure and pride to blaze the trail for the revolution together with such army.

Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed the great belief that the People's Army, a pride of the Party and a pillar of the state, would, in the future, too, faithfully live up to its duty as defenders of the country, creators of the people's happiness and faithful servants of the people as befitting the sons and daughters of the great people under the slogans "When the Party is determined, we can do anything!" and "Let us take upon ourselves both national defence and socialist construction!". 

He warmly encouraged the people in the province, shock-brigaders, railway workers and all other builders who are devoting their blood and sweat based on patriotism, overcoming all challenges and bottlenecks in the spirit of self-reliance, with burning enthusiasm to create our happiness with our own efforts and in our own way, and the officials and workers in charge of supply of materials necessary for the project, saying they have made great efforts and he was greatly satisfied to look round the construction site and asking for giving his regards to all of them.
